The EdTech Conference of 2021
For our 28th year, the Illinois Education & Technology Conference (IETC) is utilizing an immersive, hybrid experience geared toward the professional learning needs of all educators, IT staff, and administrators.
At the heart of our event, we focus on technology integration strategies, engaging instructional practices, digital tools and resources, and emerging trends. In other words, IETC is the best place to learn about both the present and future of educational technology.

Two Unforgettable Keynotes
IETC 2021 is proud to welcome two nationally-recognized voices to the center stage as part of our popular keynote series.
Educator, Speaker, and Illustrator
“Drawing as a Thinking Process”
Every day in our classrooms, we ask our students to design and demonstrate their learning. They channel their efforts to develop presentations, videos, and prototypes. Often missing from the equation is the opportunity to help them develop their creative process. Something as simple as reaching for a pencil and paper can help students and teachers begin that journey.
Listen to Manuel share how using simple sketches can help students and teachers think openly about their ideas. Learn strategies to support your students to quickly generate designs, and then use them to share with others for perspective and constructive feedback. As you step into the sketch arena, Manuel will implore you to shift your mindset from seeing drawing as an artistic process to seeing it as a thinking process and beyond.

“Being the Educator Your Scholars Need”
Get ready to become the educator your scholars have needed all along!
Filled with tons of SEL, restorative justice practices, and trauma-informed talking points, Reed will help educators re-discover their WHY of teaching, and will emphasize the importance of building and maintaining positive relationships with scholars, both in and outside of the classroom.
Each participant will leave with dozens of practical, relationship-building strategies which can immediately be implemented in their classroom or school environment.
Don’t forget – both of this year’s keynotes are open to in-person and virtual attendees. These are two symposiums you won’t want to miss, so mark your calendars and make plans to attend IETC 2021 today!
