Proposal Submission

The call for presentations closed on May 4, 2018. Applicants will be notified in early June regarding their acceptance status.

Presenter Benefits:

  • Thursday & Friday Lead Presenter Benefits: Conference registration fees for both the Thursday, Nov. 15 and Friday, Nov. 16 conference days will be waived for the lead presenter. Continental breakfasts and lunches are included.  Notes: All co-presenters must pay applicable conference fees.  Ignite lead presenters will only have the day of their presentation comped (Thursday).
  • Wednesday Full-Day Workshop Presenter Benefits: A stipend, hotel room, and waived conference registration fees for both the Thursday, Nov. 15 and Friday, Nov. 16 conference days will be provided for the lead presenter. Continental breakfasts and lunches are included.
  • Wednesday Half-Day Workshop Presenter Benefits: A stipend and waived conference registration fees for both the Thursday, Nov. 15 and Friday, Nov. 16 conference days will be provided for the lead presenter. Continental breakfasts and lunches are included.

Presenter Requirements

Handouts

Each presenter is expected to provide an electronic copy of his/her handout and/or presentation in advance. These will be posted on the IETC website/app with all rights reserved to the author.

Registration

All presenters and co-presenters must register online.  The lead presenter will receive complimentary registration.  Any co-presenters will need to pay applicable conference fees.  Registration will open this summer.

Housing

Housing is not included in the conference registration process. Rooms fill up quickly, so make your hotel reservation as early as possible.

Types of Presentations

Workshop: Full Day or Half Day. Wednesday only.
Ignites: Presenters will have five minutes and 20 slides each to share their passions in a continuous rapid-fire presentation!
Interactive Lecture / Panel / BYOD (60 Minutes): Hear experts discuss a specific topic, and explore new resources with hands-on activities using your own device.
Snapshot (35 Minutes): Browse a showcase of projects in a multi-booth environment where you can engage with presenters one on one or in small groups.
Playground (60 Minutes): Experiment with interactive technologies that enhance creativity and learning.

About the Selection Process

Individuals representing all academic disciplines and levels in the educational system and all phases of technology education are welcome to submit proposals to present at IETC 2018. Sessions will be chosen based on relevance to current educational technology trends and best practices.  Proposals were accepted through May 4, 2018.
